Our 2010 Examination Schedules for all courses are now available for downloading from our Downloads section. Please note that these documents are schedules and not timetables, as these will be published closer to the actual examination periods.

Our 2010 enrolment package is now available for download in our Downloads section. It contains an information booklet as well as an application form and comes in a .pdf file format, so if you are a Windows user, you will need to have the free Adobe Reader installed on your computer in order to open the file. You are now able to download from our website a Risk Assessment Policy & Management plan, which outlines the various procedures both our school and our student body should follow in case of certain events, for example in the event of industrial strike action coinciding with a face to face lesson day, what should you do? PrePay Buses Sydney CBD

The following news from Sydney Buses is of interest to anyone travelling to Open High School: From Monday 22 June 2009 bus stops along the Elizabeth Street, Macquarie Street and Eddy Avenue corridors will be converted to PrePay only between 7am and 7pm weekdays. Swine Flu Update

As previously advised, children who have travelled to Greater Metropolitan Melbourne, Mexico, Panama, USA, Canada and Japan will be required to stay away from school for seven days after their return to NSW. If there are other members of the family who DID NOT travel with the child to the locations they can continue to go to school. These arrangements also apply to the Department’s preschools. Swine Flu Update

Australia is entering a new phase in our response to human swine flu, known as PROTECT. The change in approach is because the virus strain is currently not as virulent as anticipated. Generally the virus produces a mild disease in most people, a severe disease in some, and a moderate effect overall. This year it is likely many more people will come down with flu‐like‐illnesses than in recent winter flu seasons because fewer people will have immunity to the human swine flu virus.

Please note that Term 1 ends on Thursday April 9th, and Term 2 begins on Tuesday April 28th. Also note that the first day of Term 2 is a Professional Development Day so teachers and other school staff will be unavailable to contact on that day.
